iPhone 3.0 is coming; March 17th preview
While we may not actually have iPhone 3.0 in our hands next Thursday, Apple is planning on a press release, according to Macrumors, Engadget, and other various sources. What will we expect? DoD Opens It’s Own Sourceforge
The United States Department of Defense has opened it’s own open source code repository, forge.mil, which is based on the popular open source site Sourceforge.
According to the Slashdot article, the code for the three current projects is publicly viewable to DoD personnel only. According to fcw.com, “…users must use a common access card for authentication…”

Quicktime 7.6 is Now Availible
Apple has just released a new update for Quicktime, properly titled, Quicktime 7.6. Overall there’s nothing too special to report about the new release. According to Apple’s Support Article, here are the new updates to Quicktime:

Improves single-pass H.264 encoding quality
Increases the playback reliability of Motion JPEG media
