DoD Opens It’s Own Sourceforge
The United States Department of Defense has opened it’s own open source code repository, forge.mil, which is based on the popular open source site Sourceforge.
According to the Slashdot article, the code for the three current projects is publicly viewable to DoD personnel only. According to fcw.com, “…users must use a common access card for authentication…”

While there are many benefits to open source, it would seem that not every American is very up to date with them.
