Only a few hours have passed since the Palm Pre was released to the world and already the guys over at Rapid Repair have managed to get their hands on one and rip it to pieces. It appears they had a heck of a time trying to rip the device open, so if you want one, don’t plan on seeing it’s insides unless you want to buy another. The team estimates that it takes Palm $170 to create every Palm Pre device which means buyers are actually getting a pretty good deal at its retail price of $199 in comparison to Apple’s $199 iPhone which is estimated only costs them $100 to make.
