We’ve reached a plateau with 3G speeds; I want to download massive files, video chat with multiple friends and watch HD movies. Will a 4G network give us these capabilities? AT&T took the floor at Barcelona to announce that testing of their Long Term Evolution/4G network will begin in 2010, with the deployment being as early as 2011. Expect delays however; my doubts are pretty high about this release in only a couple years from now. In terms of speeds, AT&T has predicted around 100Mbps. Yes, 100. I guess 3G is too slow for us; I might find myself throwing my iPhone 3G anyway come 4G speeds. Excited?
