In addition to getting their hands on the HTC Touch Diamond 2, those lucky folks over at Gizmodo were able to be one of the first to demo the new Windows Mobile 6.5 version. With a completely redesigned “honey comb” interface, Windows made their mobile handsets more touchy-feely, adding zoom controls to Internet Explorer, making contacts and menus fingerable, and removing the need for a stylus. Don’t jump yet though; Engadget has said that the 6.5 version won’t be released for handsets today. You’ll have to wait a little.
Bottomline? Windows Mobile certainly got an overhaul, and for the better. Everyone seems to be liking it over in Barcelona. What do you guys think?
