Jolicloud: Netbook Linux OS

Netbooks, which sport small screens and keyboards, and underpowered hardware, are beginning to make their move onto the technology scene. One of the major fall outs for people looking into netbooks is the operating systems that are used. Up to this point in time, Windows XP has been the OS of choice for these netbooks. Due to the watered down hardware that is used, operating systems such as Windows XP do not perform to their full potential. Tariq Krim believes that he has the answer to this problem: Jolicloud. Jolicloud is a diluted version of the Linux OS, along with a custom web browser. Not much information has been released about Jolicloud at this moment, but the image of its app directory appears to be very iPhone-esque. It features large icons, many of which are identical to those used on the iPhone and iPod Touch. As more information about the Jolicloud Operating System is released I will be sure to inform you all.
